We live as long as we fly

Germany — 2

The next day we moved on, but since I lost the piece of paper with the itinerary, you'll just have to admire the views. We drove up some hill that supposedly had a great view. After Norway, any ordinary landscape with fields and forests seems boring, so I'll leave the judging to you.

Panoramic view from a steep, wooded slope onto a town in a valley, surrounded by vast fields and distant plains under a blue sky with scattered clouds.

Well, at least the funny statues are a delight.

A bronze sculpture of a smiling devil with horns, sitting on a large rock against a backdrop of green trees. The figure is depicted in a dynamic pose with an outstretched arm.

This is a witch, my mom, and my aunt, who generally aren't of the sweetest disposition either :-)

Two middle-aged women pose next to a large bronze statue of a nude female figure crawling over rocks. The statue, decorated with spider figures, is located on a paved square with trees, with a "Hexentanzplatz" hotel van visible in the background.

See, even the facial expressions are similar.

A red-haired woman in a white blouse smiles, leaning over a bronze troll statue with a nose polished shiny from touches, against the backdrop of a sunny park with trees.

Yay! An extremely rare opportunity to see me in a photo.

A woman with red hair stands in the foreground by a large boulder. Sitting on top of this boulder is a smiling man in a yellow t-shirt, hugging a bronze statue of a horned creature against a background of trees and buildings.

"Ribbit-ribbit," say Sasha and Kristina to us, sitting under a six-legged horsie.

A man and a woman smile, posing by a large openwork black metal sculpture of a horse, mounted on a pile of rocks in the middle of a green park.

There's no shortage of all sorts of cathedrals in Germany.

The spider-like horsie put in some work  - the path leads from it to the ski lift.

Haha, you can shoot even stuff like this on my point-and-shoot! And never mind that it has a purple tint.

A close-up of a blooming rosebud with bright pink outer petals and a warm yellow-orange center against the blurred greenery of a garden.

But on the bright side, there was a rail bobsled, and we had a pretty sweet ride. Shame though, I didn't wait long enough before taking off - the guy in front of me kept getting in the way.

After the mountain, we went to check out some cliff shaped like a wall. As you can see here, we walked along a little river.

A young couple holds hands, standing on the rocky bank of a turbulent river surrounded by dense trees. Two other people are wading in the river in the distance.

Then again, after the two-kilometer-high Troll Wall in Norway, this is just some fence.

A green grassy field in the foreground and a gentle hill on the horizon with scattered trees and a few rock pillars under a cloudy sky.

The Troll Wall for comparison

We walked past meadows along a civilized rocky path.

Two women in white t-shirts, one with the inscription «I ❤️ BRITNEY», walk along a gravel path towards the viewer. They are followed by a group of people, with a green field and a long row of tall trees visible in the background.

At least the rock texture is nice, plus you can see me again, yay!

A man in a yellow t-shirt stands on top of a picturesque rock formation. In the background, a village with red-roofed houses is visible, surrounded by green fields and forests under a cloudy sky.

Looking at Kristina is way more pleasant anyway, I reckon.

A young woman in jeans and a tank top smiles, standing on a rocky hill. In the background, between large boulders, a valley with a town and forests is visible under a cloudy sky, along with two other figures standing on the rocks.

Somehow this pile of stone blocks doesn't inspire confidence. Though the diligent Germans surely glued them dead tight with superglue.

A tall vertical rock pillar made of a jumble of large dark boulders stands on a hill in a sandy area. At the foot of the rock, several tourists are on a wooden viewing platform and paths.

-Quack-quack, let's play duckies?
-What fucking duckies, we'll be left all alone here among the meadows if we don't catch up with these guys!

On a green grassy slope, a woman in a light top and jeans has crouched down, reaching out to the ground, possibly picking something. A little further away, among sparse trees and a wooden fence, stands a man in white clothing.

I'll wrap it up here for now, because the much-touted Windows Live Writer lags like crazy when there are lots of pictures. I'll have to buy a hundred-core processor just to write LiveJournal posts. Look where progress is taking us.
